EPT Monte Carlo: Grand Final Claims Prize Pool Record
1,359 players competed for a share of the largest prize pool ever to be seen on European soil. The nine day event with over 37 tournaments finalized on Monday with a grand total of €19 million awarded to the players.
Mohsin Charania, who qualified for a seat into the Main Event online at PokerStars for a mere $33, captured his first EPT bracelet and the first prize worth €1,350,000. He defeated another PokerStars online qualifier, Lucille Cailly, heads-up. Cailly was hoping to be the the fourth woman ever to capture a EPT title.
